Rixome project lets you tag the world
If you've caught the bug for tagging data and want to apply it to
the physical world — or just want to be able to see what others have to say about places you're visiting — you should
check out the Rixome project. Developed by Spanish grad student José Luis Pajares, Rixome uses a GPS-linked database to
let anyone apply tags to the world around them and save the info with cameraphone pics. The info can then be retrieved
and appended by anyone who visits the area; web users can view the data as well, but can't add to it.

Reminds me of a less artsy Yellowarrow (yellowarrow.net).
Great potential I think, especially when this project could be combined with existing online social networks.
It was already done, see:
http://www.woophy.com
Woophy is a great proyect which allows to share pictures using a worlmap. The functionalities and user experience in rixome will be very different. Thanx for all comments!
What about Mappr.com? It looks like it has an advantage in that it connects to the existing Flickr database.
