Speed cameras at sea
Italians are not exactly known for obeying the traffic laws they make or for having the most virtuous of government
officials. No matter, 'cause those roadside speed cameras are about to be installed in the port of La Spezia where the
speed limit is er, what…there isn't a fixed speed limit!? Oh man, don't even be surprised when officials of the Port
Authority suddenly become the most handsome members of the Italian glitterati, capisce?

Actually they're gonna install those speed traps in order to monitor boat not vehicular traffic. As you can figure out, it's not so easy to circumscribe an area in the open sea hence the reason why there ain't a fixed speed limit. Beware of stereotypes. Bye.

I don't see the point in this. Other than it being a stupid Italian idea I can see no point in its introduction.
Just as our roads are experiemnting with GPS to track for speeding, illegal parking, conjestion charging and working out the costs. The rich and famous boating ellitle have to put up with a blot on the landscape.
Cummon b-sconi, or whatever your nom is, boats already have GPS in them, duh, use that!
