Engadget Lego Logo
You say you love Engadget, but have you built our logo out of Legos like reader Ben M. did? Didn't think so…

Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
i think i could do the same thing
Just to be nit-picky.. is that the engadget logo? I've never seen anything quite like that.. and there's no favicon.ico.
Maybe this would be a good template for a favicon?
eh? eh?
cough **lame** cough...
It doesn't light up, it doesn't use any of the Lego pneumatic stuff, isn't controlled my any of their Mindstorm kits and doesn't use a single piece of Lego technics... I could do better than that when I was 5 :)
Yeah, your right.
I tried, but I didnt want to make half of the e in green because I ran out of blue...
should only be 2 sound waves, and they come off the 't' as in engadget))
Wow, someone has too much free time on their hands. You know, with a little modification, it would be real easy to make that look like the Blue E, IE logo.
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No?
Well then you haven't seen everything, have you?

Yeah, but then it would get corrupted with syware and have to be rebuilt. Might as well make a Firefox icon...
aren't there only 2 lines in the actual engadget logo? not being picky... just a thought
Here's an example of the logo Ben used:

Teacher's pet...
thank you peter...i don't think i have enough pieces to make the entire "engadget))" logo
this was really only one of my lego mosaics- check them out on the first six links of the site.
#10 = OWNED all you nitpickers who are just pissed you didn't get your belly rubbed for sucking up. :)
I was told not to click the blue e.

Wow Ben, cool site. Judging from the 3rd grade homework section, you must still be pretty young :)
I wonder how many 12/13 year old engadget readers are out there... :)
Cool stuff!
If you've got nothing nice to say....
Way cool Ben, how the heck did you get so many Lego of the same color and small size anyway? I still have my childhood Lego and I doubt if I could build one of those arcs without having it be 4 different colors.
yep good guess im 12 :D
thx though.
-youngest engadget reader
well i just got into these mosaics like a month ago.
and my parents bought like three assorted lego bins when i was like 4, so i just dug them up. It was quite hard to find a lot of blue 1x3's and 2x3's.
PixelBlocks would probably be better for these creations, I've made a great Sonic to put on my desk at work out of them. :)

I wonder what a lego Enron logo would look like...
it must be a slow news week.
Why can't the engadget people get this on a favicon??? I need my bookmarks filled out.
I totally agree with #19. I'm sick of not having a favicon for engadget in Firefox!!
raphael, Scoobydoo - how ridiculous do you feel now for hating on a third grader?
Very cool!
More power to the Lego lovers out there.
Legos rock!
Enough with this 'Legos' business. It's just 'Lego'. Like "I used half a tonne of Lego". I'm from England, which is much closer to denmark or sweden or wherever it is that Lego comes from.
Ben: The Lego think was okay, sure, but I followed to your site, and am simply blown away by the Bach .mp3. Is this you playing? Brilliant, bro.
um thx about the instrument playing thingy will...
:?
i play violin and piano
Speaking of the logo ... why don't you guys put the logo as the favorite icon? Kinda annoying how Engadget is my ONLY tabbed bookmark without favicon.ico ...
So young and so old school ... i love it.
Hope my son will become like that ...
Ehhhm, I'm 12 but uhhh... I'm in 8th grade...
How the hell are you in the THIRD grade? (I didn't look at the site, but looked at the comments)
im 12 going into seventh grade...did you skip a grade or something?
So, ummm.... are you guys gonna give him something for free?
Sh1t, if i was to suck up publicly like that, i'd better be getting something back for it!
Give the kid a Shuffle or something for his efforts =)
Fill the rest of the board with yellow blocks!
I with post #5. If your going to title an article with something like Lego Logo you really should at least mention the cool apple programs (and now PC I guess) that allow you to control legos via a serial port using everyones favorite beginner language Logo. MSWLogo is pretty cool tool. Mindstorms of course replaced all the control borards, but still. Cool stuff when I was a kid.
shuffle! shuffle! Shuffle!
why doesn't your site have a favicon?
david- wouldn't it be better to fill the rest of the board with white blocks? that's how it is on the engadget logo. its white, not yellow.
and i already have a Shuffle. :)
You have mad lego skills Ben. Those mosaics are seriously impressive. I dig your drawings too. Keep it up.
Yeh, skipped first grade.
I'm 13 and I'm in the 9th grade... Skipped half way through Kindergarten to 1st grade so I got two years in one! :P
I think I'm the only person in my summer school class that can't qualify for a permit yet... (Summer school was awesome! I'm so happy that I decided to take an elective and have to make up a class in the summer! ~hint the sarcasim(sp.)!~)
Anyway... mad lego skils Ben! Too bad that I don't have mine anymore... not that I ever had those awesome colors though lol
lol i only have like six colors...not that many...
it pretty easy to build them, you just get a sprite and zoom up on it.
next im making a plate with a sprite painted on it.
dude! those lego mario sprites on Ben's page are fuckign amazing! you've got talent, kid.
thank you sam
and btw to Peter: if any other blogs want their logo legoized, they can just email me a URL to a picture of their logo that is 48x48 pixels or less. NO MORE THAN THAT. joystiq was an exception. :P
Anybody noticed the similarity of the E logo with http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000670049839/ ...?
Who was first and/or is Engadget onto a big payoff by / to Jobs' lawyers ...?
Haha, guys. I PWN j00 4th graders.
I'm 13 going on 14, going into 8th grade, but I'm in PRE-CALC. I took Alg II in 7th grade.
pwn3d =)
I pwn YOU #46, I'm in 10th grade taking AP CALC BC.
