Infill's in-dash PC
You're not gonna break RSA crypto on its 1.0 or 1.6GHz Eden CPU, but Infill's beast of an in-dash computer, the T3,
comes complete with a 40GB drive, DVD drive, TV tuner (in case you're rocking
RaySat), GPS, voice control, USB, remote, and even an
empty mPCI slot. Apparently you can even install Windows Media Center on the thing, but we're still a little hesitant
about tempting fate.

I think I need new pants.
ditto. Don't forget to get your wallet when you change them. This puppy is probably around 4G. Is there a slot for a EVDO card!!!???
hmm, i dont recall seeing a car that have space for two typical car stereos stacked. or is something specific for those SUVs?
Oh sweet mercy!!!!!
ohhhhhhh i can put media center on it this thing is damn near perfect, just need wifi so i can wirelessly transfer files from my computer to my car in the garage.

Almost all cars in the US have a double-din and most in europe do too.
I've got a smart car and it does!
that would fit PERFECT in my toyotas double DIN system... Now, how to save up enough cash...
hey hobgoblin:
My 2005 Nissan 350Z and my 2002.5 Mazda Protege both have dual-din dash openings. If you are willing to spend the money on a good indash dual din head unit, usually custom mounting isn't such a big worry. Many shops do custom work, even better many people just create their own forms and fiberglass over, then paint, sand, paint, sand, paint, .... etc.
oh god, not another "autopc"...
You could probably build your own and even work out all the bugs for alot less. See the forums at http://www.mp3car.com
Wow!! Where is the manufacturers web site. This might be the answer to a problem I have. I create GPS Navigation systems and I wanted something in-car that did not have it own proprietary format. With Windows running I can do pretty much anything I want.
#3 that's a double DIN slot. Many euro cars and some others have double DIN factory radios - my VW Jetta does. Love to put something like this in the dash, but it'd have to get a) GPS, b) decent N.America tuner, c) slots for memory cards first ;)
Ack....this just destroys the fun of building your own doesn't it? Where's the trackpad on the steering wheel?
does it really need to look like a battlestar galactica 3000 prop? it's like an unsuccessful designer's revenge on consumers
#2: It's actually around $2,230 US. I found the price in South Korean currency and converted it.

You're insane...the unit is amazing. I'm giving the designer BIG props on the look of this system.
i made mine for about $600 http://illwill.info/carpc
this one is just a little sleaker and more compact
I see no 'Ctrl' 'Alt' or 'Delete' keys so I probably wouldn't install windows on there. Also how would you download the weekly patches to stop the thing crashing?
All I have to say is that this is a TOTAL RIP-OFF! Alright, this is a tech discussion forum and so I won't say more about the price...
If you're in Europe and are looking for some genuinely cheap parts to put together your own CarPC, check out www.cartft.com - lemme know and I'll get you an even better deal with them!
Sorry Americans... Europe strikes back! ;)
#22, What the f is that piece of crap? That is no way shape or form the same. When that thing has a flip out dash then we can talk about rip offs.
Let me introduce myself first, Im Soon Yang and am working for INFILL in S Korea.
My position is Overseas Marketing Team B Manager / Infill Div.
I joined INFILL Division couple days ago and I just found out this site.
Some of commenters have a suspicious glance upon the INFILL.
I will tell the truth to my potential customers who are curious about the INFILL.
Hi soon yang, pls post information on where anyone can purchase the T3 , either in the US or anywhere else in the world. Unless we have more info, many of us here will treat it like vaporware.
True... I've been following this for many months and still no info on when or if we can buy it. No one will buy it until we see price, full PC/Audio specs, install intructions, users manual and such. Hopefully all that will appear online soon. Pretty pictures and promises just don't cut it. So Soon Yang, please market this thing, I'm interested.
BTW... nice web updates since I last checked. Some of the questions are answered.
