Welcome our RFID robot overlords
What do you get when you combine the latest in RFID kid-tracking gear with the idea that industrial robots make the best babysitters? If you're Japan's Secom Corp., you get a robot bodyguard that can keep children in line and attack anyone who tries to get fresh with the kids. The company's Robot X security guard currently rents for about $2,700 per month — mainly to companies looking to enhance their security systems — but Secom hopes to branch out into playground security. A new version can already send parents SMS alerts letting them know what their kids are up to. Oh, and just in case the playground isn't enough, RFID robots are turning up in other spots, as well. So, if you think that trash can is following you around, you may just be right.

EXTERMINATE!!!
I like how this kid has modified his to be a huge power hitter!
It's better to have robot and no money than to have money and no robot man.
What ever happene to paying a starving college student below minimum wage to watch your children while you party out on the town drinking cosmos and having anonymous relations with strangers!?
Hey I work for Secom here in the UK, its a very cool company to work for and I really want to visit the Japanese office as it would be so amazing seeing these gadgets (and anything else they have in development)
omg, people are getting so stupid, you don't give a robot with AI the choice to attack some one. its easy for some one to mess up in the programming, and something horrid to go wrong.
we need to set rules for making robots, or we may all die..@_@
