The LG9200, LG's latest QWERTY phone
We got our hands on pics of several of LG's new cellphones, but the cream of the crop is the LG9200, a followup to the F9100 that addresses a couple of its predecessors short-comings, namely like the lack of a digital camera (the LG9200 at least makes a gesture by throwing some VGA action in there) or support for email. Click to see a couple more shots. Should be out sometime later this year, most likely on Cingular given that they also carried the F9100.

Awesome
Did they correct the one thing that bothered me...the freaking thickness of the phone? I don't need to carry something the size of a small speaker in my pocket.
It's thicker and bigger overall than the 9100.
so cool it is!!
How are LG phones in general? Good? Decent? Horrible?
Very cool!
I have the LG9100, so, now it is a toss-up of either the SE w800i or this one. If only it played Mp3s.....
what about bluetooth? I would buy that phone in a heartbeat if it could use a wireless headset and compete with the MotoA630.
Dear LG,
Thank you for your latest underwhelming thumbboard phone. The tiny low-res screen is great, and the complete lack of a smartphone OS makes it a stretch to consider the thing useful.
Your friend,

Since LG licensed Palm OS recently, I would seriously consider this phone if it was a Palm phone. Of course I would like all the extras to go with it; Bluetooth 1.2, SD, 128MB RAM or greater, high-res.
I am not asking for too much am I?

I tested LG9100 for a day. It is kinda weird to see that it has keyboard but it wont work with any application (AOL IM, Web Broweser, etc) except SMS. Keyboard becomes useless so I am hoping that they fix the problem for LG9200.
I myself do not like LG. They make alright phone for ppl who only want phones (imho). All my friends with lg phones, do not have call fowarding, cannot type in web addresses, are slow, and miss calls alot. I would not want to fork over the extra money to get a mobile phone slightly above entry level. If you want a qwerty phone, I would suggest the 6800 if your cheap, the 6820 if you want a camera, and wait for the new one if you want a badass one.
THE BELOW TEXT IS NOT ABOUT THE LG------ the better nokia 6800 series instead.
I had the 6800 for a year, and it was magnificent. I used the phone constantly, could text faster than my friends on aim, and never had any problems with it (it even bounced well- not scratching of turning off/losing the battery like other phones of mine. They also have auto speakerphone- whats that you say? well when you open the keyboard it will go to speakerphone. You can dial, then slightly opent he keyboard and it will automagically go to speakerphone.
Sorry I ended up writing about the nokia qwerty phones, but I honestly do not like lg.
#10/ you mean LG cellphone. or you mean whole LG stuff?
also, LG cellphones in Korea can't be compared with the phones selling in overseas
Let me start by saying that the freakin keyboard works with the Contacts and all the IM's and SMS's (no Web), maybe your just to stupid to figure it out. Okay, I feel better now, the phone sucks, yes it's too fat the keyboard slides open all the time and my original old Motorola flip phone had better reception (analog of course). With that said, I'm going to get another drink. peace.
I'm with The Rock on this one. (drunk as he may be) Why does everyone think you cant use the keyboard on the 9100. I use it to IM, text message, add and edit contacts. I cannot use it to write memos or surf. If this new one is a little thinner and doesn't fall open at a whisper I will get it.
Which OS does LG9200 use
