NubyTech's latest chainsaw controller for PS2
It's not that we weren't stoked on NubyTech's first chainsaw controller for the GameCube or anything—hey, any nightmarishly bloody implement of gore flicks (simulacra or otherwise) is ok in our book—but their new PS2 version is just so much better. Like, what about the fact that now when you raise or lower the controller it can also make your character in Resident Evil 4 do the same with his chainsaw, hmm? Or the "working" ripcord that rings off a chainsaw soundbyte? Time to get busay.

Interesting. Is the chainsaw going to be a new feature in the PS2 port or is it just an oversight, as it wasn't available for use in the GC version.
I guess they deserve something, since this port is taking a graphical reduction AND coming out almost a year later AND around the same time as LoZ:TP.
Sweet! I know what I'm getting my girlfriend for her birthday this year!
you can control a chainsaw in this version??
yea, whats the point in being able to move chainsaw up and down, when your just going to be getting really pissed off at how when your trying to shoot a Las plagus Leon keeps moving around
maybe it should be called n00b tech
Will you be able to use it with the Gamecube RE if you plug it into a PS2-to-GC controller adapter?
I think it is safe to assume we will be hearing about this thing in every "columbine type school shooting" and "teenage violent acts" story for the next couple of years, huh?
Now if we could only get Eminem to endorse the thing, we'd know exactally who/what to blame the next time some ignored/abused kid who's parents leave guns lying around freaks out and does something irrational.
Andrew, the Gamecube version has been out for four months. Heard anything about that yet?
Why is the gamecube one pictured?
Compatible with Evil Dead Games I hope!
Here's a link with more info/a picture of the new 'saw:

The article did not say "can move your chainsaw up and down" they said weapon. This is just an example of bad journalism on Engadget's part. I realise that it is a free blog, but telling us something that they havent even an inkling of proof... Not even a rumour... is just bad.
Is a chainsaw a weapon?
Thankyou, I rest my case.
Leon doesn't use a chainsaw in RE4, so unless they've changed the game, this would appear to be incorrect. Engadget was just reporting what was in the article they linked to. In any case, I have the gamecube chainsaw controller and it pretty much sucks as a controller. Looks good on the shelf though.
