HDNet still planning Shuttle launch coverage

Update: HDNet just sent us a press release indicating they will carry the launch in HD regardless of when it is.

Last week we reported that HDNet would carry exclusive, live HD coverage of the Space Shuttle Discovery launch. Unfortunately, due to a fuel sensor issue, the launch was scrubbed on the scheduled day. One of our readers asked if HDNet would still carry the launch, so heck, we just HAD to ask HDNet!

Today we received confirmation from HDNet (thanks Sherry!) that they will indeed carry the event. Official details are not yet available, but we hope to have them directly from HDNet within the next day or so; we'll be sure to share them here, so watch this post for any updates. According to Nasa, the launch will be four days after the problem is resolved with the fuel sensor, pending the launch window.
