Acer TravelMate 3002WTCi reviewed
Laptop Magazine dished out their Best Buy award to Acer's ultraportable TravelMate 3002WTCi, saying "for road warriors who need all the processing power and battery life they can get in a travel-friendly package, there's no better deal." The TravelMate weighs in at just 3.1 pounds, or 3.9 with the included six-cell battery, and packs a 12.1-inch widescreen display, 1.73-GHz Intel Pentium M 740 processor, 512MB of DDR22 533 memory, 60GB 4,200rpm hard drive, and an external DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive. The only real downside Laptop Mag found with the unit is that external drive and the rather slow hard drive, but they give it points for great Wi-Fi range, built-in Bluetooth and a 4-in-1 memory card reader. Retail price is $1,299US.
