The Orange C600
Ok, so it's only been a few weeks since Orange launched their latest Windows Mobile-powered Smartphone, the
C550, but Smartphone France already
dug up some details about its successor. The C600 looks like it kicks it up like the C550, with a 1.3 megapixel digital
camera and a 320 x 240 pixel LCD screen, far as we can tell, the only major differences (at least according to the
specs they have listed) are that the C600 adds support for EDGE and drops the C550's dedicated music playback buttons
(which are no bigs if you're not planning to use your phone as an MP3 player). Should be out by September, at least in
France.
P.S. - Both the C550 and the C600 are more or less followups to the much-loved
C500/
SMT 5600, but so far we haven't
heard a peep about either phone finding its way Stateside.

Another in the big line of tiny improvements, but when is the next step comming ? Where is a UMTS phone with at least a 2 mega pix camera and a 2-4 GB harddisk ?

Windows Mobile 2003 or 2005?
Remember, the big difference in 2005 is retaining data eventhough the phone experience total power loss, while in 2003 all is gone.

The c550 is almost the exact shape as tthe SDA Music so what. This is a nice improvement having EDGE and a QVGA screen. I'll probably pick this up unless something better (ie Razrberry or small PDA form factor) comes out first in the US>..
