Motorola's latest Linux phones, the A728 and the A732
Two more Linux-powered phones from Motorola today: the A728, which comes with 8MB of internal memory, a touch screen,
and some basic, um, "productivity tools"; and the A732 (pictured above), a slider-style cellphone which has the same
touch-sensitive keypad that lets you write out English and Chinese characters with your finger that's found in the
A668. Both are aimed primarily at the Asian market. Click
to see a close-up shot of the A732, as well as a pic of the A728.

should that say "and the a732 (pictured above), a slider-style cellphone which has the same touch-sensitive [screen] that lets you write out english and chinese characters with your finger" instead of keypad? nonetheless, more cool phones we will never see.
*yawn*

#2 - if you had followed the links backward, and read the mobileburn article, you'd know that yes, the keypad is touch-sensitive, not the screen. they got it right, and you don't know how to click links.

from the a728 pic, seems to me that it is running the e680/e680i software.

uhhhh...... isn't the point of a keypad to be touch sensitive? i'm somewhat joking here. i understand that these do something special. shouldn't they have some marketing friendly buzz moniker like "calligra-keys"* or something?
(if not previously owned, the term "calligra-keys" is hereby the property of www.highrollinplaya.com, heretofore to be refered t as hrp dot c and may not be used for commerical purposes without express written permission.)

why do these phones always happen to be so unbelievable ugly?
i mean - linux in phones is generally a good idea, but why can't they use linux in the razr?

but what people really want to know is whether they come with a new operating system or the same crippled rubbish that motorola has been serving us all for the past few years...
