New LCD HD monitors from Sony
Engadget, one of the other great blogs here at WIN, caught us napping through our press releases. Somehow, the Sony announcements of a new LCD HD-monitor series snuck across our desk and went out with the trash.
The prices are competitive on the whole line, which ranges from around $1,299 to $1,999 for screens that are 23-, 26-, and 32-inches. Don't expect a digital tuner in there at that price, however. We applaud Sony for the quality of the screen, but without a digital tuner, that beautiful real estate is wasted on a lower resolution input such as the built in analog tuner. Not even a CableCard slot is available for HD cable programming. Uh, Sony if we missed this in the specs, drop us note, will ya?
