iLounge reviews Ignitek's iCarrier iPod speaker system
Okay, whenever you stop guffawing and come back to read this, we'll tell ya that we had the same reaction to this thing — Ignitek's iCarrier speaker system for the iPod is, shall we say, an unusually designed unit. Standing over three feet tall, it totally dwarfs that poor lil' iPod, there. iLounge had some quality time with the iCarrier and found "surprisingly good sound," for the $249.99 price, although no earth-shaking bass — and falling somewhat short of the "true hi-fidelity sound" promised by its makers. They like that it comes with a remote and hardware that allows any generation iPod to be attached, but some of the parts felt on the cheap side. But hey, if you're looking for iPod speakers of unusual size, this would be it.

I am not sure why anyone would buy this sort of gear.
-You are locked into using an ipod for input
-You don't get true stereo (l/r speakers too close together)
-MP3 sounds like garbage over anything better than earbuds (Most people dont know about the apple lossless format)
Just go buy some decent stereo equipment and get a 1/8" to RCA cable, run that into AUX.
