We can 100% guarantee that this is not Photoshopped. Okay, so Ryan made it using the Nintendo Controller Fake Editor because we were really concerned about all the other fake prototypes with no buttons. But like, we're totally sure this is so it 'cuz he's clairvoyant. Or, because Nintendo will snatch him up immediately upon seeing this idea and it'll get put into production. We hope he still remembers old Engadget when he's big and famous like J Allard.

Willing to put up "articles" about some stupid, obviously fake controller but not ones that could actually be real? Did someone at Engadget not get the Nintendo system they wanted for Christmas or something?
i'm assuming they're going to have ports possibly, for every system, to use old controllers? if so, hoorah, i can't wait to stock up on old n64 controllers, all mine broke.

Matt, you gimp, lighten up a bit. It was a joke. You know, those things that make your lip quiver slightly? Remember that time you and your bum chum were looking at pc's and he said the wrong serial code when you two were talking about psu's and you wet yourself? Comedy, but on a different scale from what you're used to. More mainstream perhaps. I think engadget should require people to sign a pledge of alliegance with a nazi-esque rule list, including but not limited to: You must have at least one reference to Rectum in your full name. Any attempt at humourous posts/replies will automatically dispatch the engadget discipline squad who will eat your kidneys.

people talk shit, but nintendo has consistantly designed the best controllers. the GC controller with the large main button surrounded by the three other buttons is easier and more intuitive that anything sony has EVER put out. I wish the PSP had a GC controller button config.

alin, that was gayer than skmetal7's comment, no duh its not the real controller, at the top it says "nintendo controller fake editor"! nintendo isnt showing the real controller bcuz its probably a dissapointment. i'm a fan of nintendo but there consules ability is going to b no match for the ps3 or xbox 360. the only reason the nintendo consules r still alive is bcuz of the games. super smash bros. is probly in the top 10 games on any platform. now there is going to b another super smash game (super smash bros. revolution) that is sed to be launched in november of 2006. there's a chance that it will b wi-fi so u can play with ppl around the world. and the revolution will b able to play the small ds chips like the game boy to gamecube. bcuz the ds is touch screen, there is probably going to b a screen on the controller. that would make the controller oversized, uncomfortable, and it would look retarded. i hope the "REAL" controller doesnt ruin the consule. if so i'm going to have to go with the PS3 even tho it's gonna b like $200 more...

Super smash brothers melee (GCN) was rated T. so will super smash bros. revolution b rated M for no good reason like super smash bros. melee was rated T. i looked on the back of the box and it says "TEEN (13+) comic mischief and mild violence". thats no reason to b rated teen! what will the revolution version say? Mature (17+) extreme comic mischief? thats just retarded! the whole SSB series are suitable for all ages.
