iRiver T-series now available in U.S.
Just in case you've been waiting, you can now pick up the
iRiver T10 in the U.S. The 512MB version is $150 direct
from iRiver, with the 1GB edition at $200. Specs look about the same as they were last time we checked, including FM
radio, a color LCD and a battery life claim of 45 hours on one AA. Oh, one change from what we saw earlier: the gigger
is blue, not bright yellow — and you can forget about picking up the lime green 256MB version, as well. Guess the
day-glo look flopped in focus groups. You can also pick up the T30 series, with a line-in, no FM and a mono display,
for about $50 less.
[Thanks, Dave]

"1GB edition at $200"
Apple 4GB iPod Mini - $200
Unless size and FM radio (what is that again?) are really an issue, I'd go for 4X the storage.
Then there's also the Zen Micro. 5GB for $200, with radio. Oh, but maybe what you really want is that color screen, right? Yeah, sure. A color LCD WILL be harder to read, and with a screen that small, I don't see the point.
The battery life is nice.
er or, if I see another of your posts with that link in, I'm going to alert the webmasters to your spamming.
I bet this iReiver player doesn't have gapless Ogg playback. It was so frustrating when iRiver added their version of gapless to the H120, all they did was stop playing the intentional silence at the end of tracks, they didn't remove the unintentional gap between tracks. Completely worthless.
Thank goodness RockBox is now available on the h series, it'll add a great firmware to a great piece of hardware.
wow, that thing looks like an electric razor....
I thought it was an electric shaver/
