Linksys CIT200 is a Skype phone
It might be a little unfair to call the Linksys CIT200 Cordless Internet Telephony Kit the Skype phone, but it is definitely a Skype phone—and not much else. According to Tom's report culled from FCC data, the Linksys CIT200 transmits wirelessly on the 1.9GHz band (read: not WiFi), and doesn't have PTSN-in, so you've got to really be down with Skype to rock it instead of, say, a wireless headset or something of the like. Fine, fine, but can't we at least get some alternate standards-based modes in there too, like for using SIP?

hoh hoh hoh, you won't be getting them through British customs anytime soon. Anybody know what retail prices will be, Tom guesses around $100, I could buy a wifi card for my PocketPC for that, power it up with Skype-y goodness. :D
I am using the Actiontec Phone Wizard with a standard DECT phone and it's the same thing they are trying to sell there. I can even connect it to my IP PBX and have any call that originates online forwared to any extension.

I found the Actiontec software nice and crashy. I'm using the YapperNut instead, and am pretty happy with it. Although, I have to say that using Skype as a real phone isn't quite ready for prime time, IMHO. Lots of garbles, transmission problems, etc.
