Kinpo's iDo S600 - world's lightest Pocket PC phone?
From those serial leakers over at the FCC (when is Patrick Fitzgerald going to start investigating them?), it's the latest Pocket PC smartphone. This one, branded the Kinpo iDo S600, is a GSM model, running Windows Mobile 2003, and sporting a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, IR and miniSD. From the looks of it, this is going to be a U.S. version of Kinpo's 5.1 ounce iDo Hydrogen, which the company claims is the lightest Pocket PC phone on the market (the name is a play on the weight; this phone is not powered by a hydrogen fuel cell!). Since Kinpo is a big OEM company, there's a good chance this will come out under another name, though for now at least, all the documentation refers to it as the S600. No word yet on when this is coming out, though we're sure that Bob Novak knows already.

I have a sx66 (Blue Angel) And I don think I'll trade. Blue angel comes w/ a camera (it can) too. Mini-sd is crummy. Lots of storage is more and more important and I think the mini-sd tradeoff isn't acceptable. I cant wait for the 4MB sd cards to go on sale. I heard HP is going to rebrand this? Is this the one with 802.11g ??

Interesting. Qool Labs made its Qool Pocket PC with this iDo device.

Tom, thanks for the link to the photos - what a treasure trove.
The specs on that site are amazing: 109 x 55 x 21.5 mm - that's barely larger than my MPX220!
The main thing that has kept me from getting a PocketPC phone is the size and the awkwardness of dialing on a QWERTY or a touchscreen, so I really like the P910-style flip cover.
Can't wait for this to go on sale here...

I still like the look of the iMate Jam/Qtek S110 better, and the size differnce is almost nothing. Also, has anyone dealt with that Freescale CPU they list as being in this phone?
