The Odometer wizard "corrects" your mileage reading
We're not sure why the press shot of this thing looks like it's been xeroxed 12 times before downsampling to a
16-color GIF but hey, that's why we're not in marketing. Anywho, the Odometer wizard can help you, um, freshen up the
mileage on your car before you rip someone off sell it to someone prejudiced against high odometer
readings. Just think about these $2500 devices being out there the next time you're tempted to buy that '79 Jaguar from
the dude who says he just bought it from a little old lady who let it sit in the garage.

or you can just disconnect your odometer from the battery and cheat the system in a much cheaper way!
arent these things illigal? or just fobbing "corrected" cars to unsuspecting punters the illigal bit?
Not to mention that most DMVs have odometer readings on file from annual inspections or title transfers...
Isn't there some way to reduce the power being sent to the odometer so it goes up slower?
Just do what Ferris Beuller did and drive around in reverse.
B - That didn't work, remember? Thus, Cameron shoving the car off a cliff...
Can't we for once have a conversation about driving backwards to change the mileage on an odometer WITHOUT bringing up Ferris Beuller?
"Can't we for once have a conversation about driving backwards to change the mileage on an odometer WITHOUT bringing up Ferris Beuller?"
Sure, but why would you want to?
But yes, in my state, at least, this thing would be totally illegal. It probably is in every state.
I could barely read through that site - my two favorite quotes:
"We well do in house digital programming..."
"Don't be fooled we got up to data software. hex code are never a problem we got all types of HEX calculator for all types of codes"
I don't think I would trust them enough to buy their $500 gadget.
If the spelling and grammar on the web site are any indication of the "intelligent design" behind the box, I think I'll just keep the $2,500. Just FYI... area code 305 is the Florida Keys.
This thing only "corrects" digital odometers. I'm guessing a '79 Jaguar, like most cars, has an analog odometer?
Unfortunately, not all states have annual inspections. Therefore a sole owner of a car in said states could use one of these. In any case, I think there's a federal law against tampering with odometers with regards to resale. Then again, maybe that's lavatory smoke detectors I'm thinking of.
#10 (BuzzKIll)... 305 isn't only for the Keys but also for Miami, which may be the reason for that english-but-badly-google-translated-from-spanish grammar.
Give these guys some credit, maybe they are just cuban entrepreneurs trying to expand their local business. ;-)

Yeah, because as everyone knows, if you want to expand your business on the intarweb, you should give out your pager and cell numbers!
Having lived in 10 states so far and currently a resident of south Florida I take great umbrage to the inferences regarding area code 305. The question of business ethics is not restricted to area code 305, 954 (Fort Lauderdale) is just as bad.
I know that some cars store the milage in two places. If one is changed, it illuminates a light on the instrument cluster to alert to the issue. Doubt this device is sophisticated enough to change the milage in both.
BTW, states that do not have annual inspections have fewer wrecks due to mechanical failures. Look it up. :o)
Urban legend is that these area codes are also notorious homes of airbag thieves / "repackagers" who will for a small fee, take your fender-bent Lincoln and put in a new "airbag" module full of, let's say, wheat pennies and thumbtacks.
I dont understand why someone would copy a photo of my web site to make a silly statement. Obviously they have not searched the web to fine a lot more companies out their who are fixing odometers, but no they choose to pick on my site ha-ha!! I would also like to inform the people that read this article that we don't misprint mileage on odometer's we program new and old odometers with original data.
Thanks
