The next governor of California: Steve Jobs?
Could it be Stevie J. vs. the Governator in next year's California gubernatorial race? We always figured the only political office he'd ever settle for would be "God", or perhaps, "Supreme Deity," but the San Francisco Chronicle reports that "Democratic actvists" have been whispering about the possibility of Steve Jobs running for governor of California in the 2006 election (of course, they're also talking about a Robin Williams candidacy, so take this as you will). He'd definitely have the Mac fanatic vote all locked up if he decides to run, but it's hard to imagine His Steveness dealing with something as chaotic and disorderly as California's political system.

I don't think he would accept to give up running Apple and start running California.
But he is doing a very good job with Apple, so I would vote for him.
let's hope he don't paint the whole state gloss white...
I once used a bathroom after Steve Jobs in a restaurant in So Cal. The guy has issues with flushing and it wasn't even about the corn.
Peace out.

Jeez!! I know people who would consider moving country to be able to vote for Stevie!

(I'm surprised noone called me on that (they probably thought I was a nutjob for saying that =P.)
I dunno, having never met the guy I have only punditry and heresay to go on like eveyone else. And, of course, it goes w/o sayng that IANAP, it's just my opinion, et al (hey, the last thing you want is a defamation suit from Steve-O, right?).
WHY would Steve Jobs want to wade into the sewer that American politics have become?
Arnold is the greatest Governor ever! Well not really... See http://arnoldexposed.com.
The new iGov of iCali.
Steve Jobs is an amazing man and I think he defiantly has the potential to be the governor of California.
