The Yujin Robotics TransBot and iRobi
Gotta love Yujin Robotics (Korea's answer to
iRobot) and their home robot family which includes
the Robhaz, iClebo (didn't we see that at CES?), and most
importantly, the "expressive" iRobi and its slightly more violent sibling, the TransBot. iRobi appears to be something
more a learning device and/or family companion, but TransBot's where the fun's at: with it you can program movement
(their silly promo video shows it dancing), control it
remotely, battle it with other TransBots, and transform it into a car. Does any of this seem a little a little
anachronistic on the mad 80s-throwback tip?

Their next step is to create a robotic kid for the robot family unit. And the robotic alcoholic stepfather and the pregnant teen robot daughter.

Does anyone remember the Sega Master System card Transbot? I think it came out in 1987 and was a side-scrolling shooter. I remember it was one of my favorite games released on their card format.
