Motorola iTunes ROKR launch event on September 7th?
It wouldn't be out of the question given Moto's propensity for selecting West Side Manhattan venues in the past, but it's a little late for them to be setting stuff up now for a September 7th launch event in our fair city for the ROKR. Then again, it was supposed to go down next month (though pretty much every month prior, too), and Ed ZNDR will be in town delivering a keynote to some investors. So yes, it's possible, maybe even likely, but after being burned on this launch this many times it's not like we're gonna hold them to this date by any means. But we're still marking our calendars.

Yea right! I'm not holding my breath
on this release date.
Fool me once. Shame on me.
Fool me twice...
Does that thing actually exist? It sounds like it is just one rumor after another. I'm not getting my hopes up.
The question is - does anyone really care anymore?
Put the software onto the RAZR! This never-ending wait for this phone is counter-productive.
lets hope that fugly piece of trash never makes it to market.
Re: #1, isn't it: "Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice... ... ...can't fool me again!" -W
Looks like the child of a psp & a I-pod. This is from a psp :D
#6: I think it's actually "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
Funny excactly the same comments i wanted post are found already....
I am really tired of all this itunes handy stuff......
It would be really cool but only if it has at least the candy bar Razr Quality. But slowly im starting to guess its not a hardware its just the software its all about...thats boring too....
apple seems to be asleep or waiting for the christmas buisness
Looks like this could be it, the announcement that puts all the speculation to an end.
Steve Jobs is brilliant at manipulating the media.
Yawn. If this is as unexciting as Moto's Razr phone with its crappy camera and poor reception, this will be a big letdown. I'm buying a Sony Ericsson K750i and putting a 1GB memory stick in it.

#8 - I think #6 was referring to a speech made by George W Bush where he couldn't remember the quote and bluffed through it in his own inimitable way.

I have an iPod Mini and most of the time I use my Treo 650 phone and I don't have to use earbuds or carry around another item with me. I can't get thousands of songs right now, but I can get hundreds with the 1GB SD card I have. I can always get a bigger card though.
