Very nice, but it's a bit big and it doesn't work with my scroll wheel. :(

Huh? No Yahoo (i.e. konfabulator) widget? I mean, Apple stole the idea and all, but damn, don't exclude the original service.
Bootes @ Dec 19th 2005 1:25AM
I believe a Konfabulator one was already released, but they mistakenly labeled it as a dashboard widget, that's why they say it's for real this time.
Twist @ Dec 19th 2005 1:25AM
Heck I use Mac OS X 10.4 but I would still rather have a Konfabulator version. The tend to update better, use less RAM per instance, and have much better display options (on the desktop below everything, normal, on top of everything, or on a special layer like Dashboard).

I've been using Google Desktop with Engadget's RSS feed. Google Desktop is like a series of widgets, pinned to a single column and all go by the same graphic scheme. It's pretty nice. I also subscribe to the RSS feed via my Customized Google homepage.
So to sum up, I don't need widgets. I just need Google.

Way too big! At least 50% too big!! Huge band of wasted white space between the headlines and the date.
In the trash it goes... and I was so looking forward to saving myself a whole two mouse clicks!

Can anyone play with the pixels in the code to skim down on the size of this monster - i went thru the code but i didnt understand which part refers to what

i was to modifi the link to the widget, the new one is:
http://www.riophone.com.ar/soft/Engadgetv1.wdgt.zip
sorry about this, hosting problems.
Soon a update will be avaible. chek mi blog and comment about problems and suggestion.
dan @ Dec 19th 2005 1:25AM
Why not post it to www.dashboardwidgets.com and the other widget sites? That way people would actually find it, you wouldn't have hosting problems, and you wouldn't be forced to post questionable links in the comments section of Engadget.
gorkon @ Dec 19th 2005 1:25AM
Why why why why why do I need a Konfabulator Widget or Dashboard (I use Konfabulator on my Windows Boxes) for every damn RSS feed?? Can ANYONE do a Dashboard or Konfabulator Widget that can take care of multiple feeds? THAT'S what I want. I don't want 5 widgets each dedicated to a different RSS feed for my 5 favorite sites.
Handywidgets.com @ Dec 19th 2005 1:25AM
I'll post it on my website at www.handywidgets.com later today.
Woody @ Dec 19th 2005 1:25AM
Reminder: If you install it on the passenger side, make sure it's not in the way of the airbag!

Dashboard = ghey
If you MUST have one of these (and apparently noone can come up anything smarter than just pulling rss feeds froma single source in one very uncustomizable widget), use Konfabulator.
Lame, at best.
powermac99 @ Dec 19th 2005 1:25AM
That's strange, it posted my comment twice (quite a bit of time apart). I wonder if that had anything to do with Omniweb crashing. Anywho, sorry about that.
