You love Cat Schwartz—we love her too, that's why she's the
Engadget spokeswoman, afterall. But she's
got more on her mind than yakking about gadgets, so she did a couple hits for one of our many pet projects, Video
Engadget. DS vs PSP answers the eternal question: exactly
what would happen if the DS met the
PSP somewhere on a playground in LA? We won't tell
you how it ends, but keep an eye out for our forthcoming director's cut (with alternate endings) on extended DVD.

I have been waiting to see this again since the Reader Meetup in DC. Its a great job. Very nice ad (wonder if Engadget will do the super bowl with this one).

Games, Video, Music, Internet, Photos, Multiplayer (adhoc and online), UMDs, better style, way better graphics/screen...
There's no contest. The PSP crushes the DS. It's ok DS fanboys, Mario can hold your hand, maybe tuck you in to at night. The PSP is a big boys toy.

No knock to the video creators, but am I the only one who thought this was really dumb? I saw it at the DC reader meet up and didn't think it was funny then. DS vs. PSP was a good idea and I liked the format of the video however, I simply didn't feel any of the content was funnny.

I enjoy the DS very much. PSP is nice too but my DS is compassionate towards me.

honest opinion? i think it's lame...bad acting and writing. seemed kind of immature, but of course i'm sure i'm older (33) than most here. overall it could have been much funnier. not that the video project thing should be scrapped, you just need some improvements.
Pretty funny video. And how can #8 get all defensive??? That's actually a lot funnier than the video. The video is cheesy and done with cardboard boxes, so I don't know how you can get pissed and offended by it... Hopefully they'll be some more oddly amusing videos sooner or later...

Ah ha ha ha ha!!! That was awesome! I've paid to watch movies worse than that.
But, my culture references stop at arguments about dead pixels and battery life, can someone tell me who does the hip-hop song built around the sample from Queen's Flash Gordon Soundtrack?
(And as far as platform preference, while the PSP is cool, my family has bought 4 DS units and 4 copies of Nintendogs since it's release last week, because none of us wanted to share - and I'm the "kid" at 28. DS has the Killer App - Read it and weep Sony)

Making crappy films is a lot of fun. If you don't like it then don't watch them or try and make your own. Personally I think the girls can't act or fight... but so what. It's still fun to watch crappy films. I loved it!

Mario is not the only great game we got... We have Resident Evil, Castlevania, Metroid Prime, Final Fantasy (game), and plenty more..
And yes, the PSP is a piece of crap! (I know cause I had one)
And no, the DS is not for kids, it for hardcore gamers!
