Klipsch unleashes the iJam, yet another iPod boombox
Seems like speaker manufacturers won't be happy until they've attached iPod docks to anything remotely capable of producing sound. The latest in this slew of add-ons is the Klipsch iJam boom box, a battery or AC-powered personal stereo that will accept any iPod with a dock connector into its clutches. In case 30GB just isn't enough variety for a long day at the beach, Klipsh has also included an FM tuner for those needing their commercial fix. Klipsch promises to offer this model in multiple colors, although we doubt any of them will be able to enhance it's rather staid design.

i've never seen an uglier product....
Klipsch is a pretty good speaker company, my THX system has not failed to impress at all.
I wouldn't mind hearing this unit, but I couldn't justify an iPod only stereo.
but your THX system must be ugly to
It looks like a purse. I wonder how it sounds though, with the Klipsch name I figure it would sound fairly good.

I can't say that they are that pleasing to the eyes, but my ears love every tone and frequency they pump out.
For the record, I never said that blue thing wasn't ugly... just that I wouldn't mind hearing it.
That thing looks like an ass in a pair of blue jeans with an ipod shoved between it's cheeks. *shudder.
haha, yea it doesn't look very eye pleasing. At least it adds some functionality with the fm tuner :)
That's not a boombox, that's a purse...
It may not look great but if it sounds like all other Klipsch products I wouldn't care how it looks. Knowing Klipsch, it could take iPod to the next level and it would be great to take with you traveling or to the beach.
Hi All,
Is there any IPOD boom box with a CD Player too?I know it sounds silly but....its not for me.
FM tuner would be a bonus (I'd like a complete solution with the IPOD dock).
Cheers...
That's not a boombox, that's a purse...
Seems that Klipsch is not taken their own website too serious, if there Welcome screen says :
Welcome to Klipsch Audio Technologies in English!
blah blah blah
Really, have a look now before they discover their honesty and delete it.
It should be in English. Mr. Klipsch invented his world reknown speakers in Hope, Arkansas in the good ole USA. Thanks for reminding me to check out their website. I thought the iJam looked inviting but they've got another system called iFi for the iPod that looks incredible. I've got to have one.
