Toshiba's new pocket projector
It's a little unlike Toshiba to show off such a device as this prototype pocket projector at such an event as the Holiday Spectacular show we hit up last night, but it was no less impressive even for its lack of hard info. From what we were told it was sitting atop a battery pack, which promptly wore out in the middle of shooting it (hence the power cable). Sure, it wasn't exactly an eighty thousand lumen beast, but it sure as hell did the job it needed to do. At short range, anyway.

for all those times that your boss decides to have the production meetings in the storage room or in the subway. how mighty useful.

Any word on lamp life? I'd like one to project Gmail onto my kitchen or bedroom wall, and a few to project Flickr streams onto walls. They should also make a waterproof one for beach parties.

Excellent, one of these, an Archos, and my Creative Travelsound. Next time I go camping, I'm bringing a silver screen for some late night movie watchin'!

That is awesome, looks pretty small for the scale but what is the dimension?

Lamp life should be on the order of 10,000 hours or so if they are using the 5W LEDs.

I just hope the replacement cost of the lamps are reasonable.

Perfect for the next time I'm stuck in an elevator.
