Already with the Swarovski iPod nano
We might say you were getting a raw deal if you got a crystal-encrusted iPod nano—only because there just won't be
as many of the shiny shinies by virtue of the the thing being so damned small. But if you really owe that special
someone in your life a piece seriously gaudy gadgetry, look no further than the Swarovski nano on eBay. Just don't say
we didn't try to talk some sense into you beforehand.
[Thanks, Josh]

When will Engadget learn that the average reader just doesn't care about crystal-encrusted gadgets? It's the same iPod nano, whether or not it's sparkly.... so shiny..... what?
smaller = cheaper?
Wow...what a waste of time...
WTF??? does someone actually waste their time and come up with that crap? who actually buys that stuff? soon they gonna make covers made of synthetic poop!
Loves it. I think Paris Hilton would buy 90 of these things. I'll post these pics on my blog later . .
"When will Engadget learn that the average reader just doesn't care about crystal-encrusted gadgets?"
When it starts being true?
This is not a buying guide. If all you want to look at are gadgets you personally might purchase, go to C-Net. I and a lot of other people find it fun to point and laugh when people do ridiculous things like this to whatever product happens to be "hip" at the moment.
This will match my bedazzled jeans and jacket combo. Now if only they come up with a pleather iPod Nano and I'll be all set.
#4, I was actually being sardonic, making fun of the people who say that this isn't the place for things like this. I, myself, love seeing this stuff, just like you do, which is why I cut myself in mid-sentence oohing about its shininess. Sorry about the misunderstanding.
HOLY CARP! I'm going to the hobby store today and buying some glue and glass beads! DAAAAAAAANNNNNNNGGGGG that's alot of cash for gluing some beads on a Nano....
The Bedazzler Strikes Again !
can you say tacky...
the seller claims that they'll start mass-producing and selling these Nanos for $1000 apiece which is nonsense. Asking $350 on ebay for one, however, is not. It is neither cheap nor easy to cover a piece of electronics with rhinestones and not have it look like it was done by a 4-year-old (even though they sort of wimped out and neglected to use a pattern or hard-to-find colors), and since the $250 nano is included in the price, I'd say it's not a bad deal. NYC Peach would charge $350 just to do the beading, and you'd have to supply your own iPod.
You guys are so out of touch with reality. Get out of your geek hole and go out into the world. You will see. People are into this shit. I'm glad Engadget covers it.
Looks like a Paris Hilton material.
That's hot.
tell girls that bling makes her ass look fat. that'll stop this trend pretty quick.
so do reality tv shows. it's worse than cheesecake, you know.
Nothing like sparkly swarovski bejewelled flame baiting sardonic commentary. Well done!
Well Well - It doesn't look half bad to me.
Only my 2c of worth...
If you want to try your hand at doing your own iPod nano - pick up a kit and supplies. Kerry (post 12) is right - it's not easy to do a good job - especially if you want to add some creativity by doing a pattern. The good news is that there are people out there who will take your design and color choices and do the work for you. Want to be unique?? Don't be afraid to crystalize!
Hi everyone,
This is Jennifer the creator of the Crystal Ipod Nano that is on Ebay right now (pictures above, Iheartchanel2 is my seller name). Thank you to those of you who are supportive! It seems to be a very popular product and the quality is something I take pride in. Thanks to engadget.com for the article!
This iPod is very "femminile". It could be very nice christmas gift. Thank you Engadget
I'm doing my first Nano this week! I'm so exctied. The customer wants exactly as pictured above, all pink. It's a gift for her sister. I'd like to see some of you try to crystallize something and be brave enough to post it! Awsome job Jennifer!
They charge what??? $425 dollars??
I did my nano for less than $60 with a kit from Glitterring.com. It's really easy and I love it!
I just purchased my very first CrystalNanoTM from thecrystalnano.com ! It is absolutely gorgeous, I can't even say how much I love it! I purchased one for myself that they helped me customize and also one for my daughter for Christmas (the Pink Cheetah)! I was going to buy one of those kits but they don't come with enough crystals and then you have to do it yourself and if you mess up you're in trouble, yuck. Thecrystalnano.com even offers a warranty and other sites don't. I can't say even describe how much it sparkles and I get compliments everywhere I go with it (at work, the gym, you name it)! If you want a quality CrystalNano you have to check that site out!

Obviously someone works for Crystal Nano. Who in the world says "CrystalNanoTM"?
I was just trying to give options and suggestions to those that might find it useful.

Hardly Suz, it's called quoting a website specifically (CrystalNanoTM). Don't be jealous because you're cheap and had to use some lame kit. I HAD purchased a from Glitterring for my cell and it was CRAP. How do we know you don't work for the website you were promotting there? Sorry hun, but I'm going to pay for the real thing and for the quality work they provided me. Don't attack people on this thing and not expect to be told.
I want a mink iPod nano, Engadget.
Jeez, you can do yourself for WAY cheaper: check it out - www.blingmeout.com. Love it!
