CannonPC ups specs of media center PCs
Texas-based media PC-maker Cannon PC has upgraded its line with the midrange LX series and high-end EX series, the latter of which comes with a 7-inch touchscreen LCD display. The $2,995 LX comes with a Pentium 4 at 3.2 GHz, 1GB RAM, 200GB HDD, 2 analog tuners and one HD tuner and an nVidia GeForce 6800TD wit 256MB. The EX goes for $4,495 and ups the RAM to 2GB, the processor to 3.6 GHz and the HDD to 400GB.

They won't sell many at that ridiculous range of price.
so an extra $1,500 gets you an extra 0.4Ghz, a gig of ram and 200gig more of hd space! how stupid is that?
Does it "archive" your DVD's for you?
If not, I'll take the red one posted earlier :)
WTF, it looks exactly like the Voodoo!
While the touch screen does add to the wow factor, I wonder if it would be a distraction. For thos interested in a cheaper alternative, I suggest you check out snapstream.com and htpcnews.com, for user feedback.
The touch screen can be turned off. The machine is over priced. You can get the exact same case and build your own. Snapstream blows goats.
buy your own case for $599 from Uneed the X15e. Available at http://www.pcalchemy.com.
I want to clarify a few things about the EX series media center we offer based on the comments made here. At Cannon PC, we build all our units with top of the line components. We design them to be very stable and feature rich in order to control home automation, home theater, and high end gaming. If you compare apples to apples you will find that our prices are very close to Voodoopc and Niveus as well as other high end media center pcs. We understand that anyone can build their own media center PC and possibly build it less expensively. We also understand that sometime less expensive it not always better. We offer a superior media center and we back it will excellent support and warranties. We challenge all potential customers to take an in-depth look at our media centers and perform a realistic analysis before purchasing any system.
