I love Monday Night Football and so does Comcast. Preceding the theme song by Hank Williams Jr., Comcast is going to run a 10 second spot promoting their digital/HD service. Later on in the first half, they will run a 30 second commercial to their customer base of 40% of the American population. This 6 million dollar campaign is going to run the rest of the session.
Truthfully I think this is a great push for more high definition subscriptions. With more people subscribing to HD, it brings more revenue into the provider’s coffers, and then back into our living rooms via more channels. I would like more channels.
