Panasonic Toughbook CF-18 ruggedized tablet reviewed
Panasonic's Toughbook series has long been a favorite if you need a laptop that you can use in rough locations like construction sites, war zones or nightclubs (hey, who says we can't multitask?). Now the company has brought that go-ahead-and-drop-it ethos to a tablet PC, with the Toughbook CF-18, and Digit-Life had a chance to put one to the torture test. The results? They found that the CF-18, with its base 256MB RAM, 40GB HDD, 900 MHz Pentium M and 10.4-inch touchscreen LCD to be something of a laggard when it comes to performance (not surprising, with those specs), but that it was as rugged as they come. So, toss one in your bag — and we do mean toss— if you're headed up the Amazon (and have a source to recharge it), but don't expect to play too many fast-paced games on this.

Hi All!
I've been using a slightly faster version (P733 1.1GHz 512MB 60GB HDD) ...and must say that it does live to it's fame :)
...and it does not lag in performance (at least in the "ultra-portable" range :) )
This looks really nice ... but how much is it?
The specs are pretty poor, but I guess that won't worry the target market, who probably aren't heavy PC users.
well as to the cost depending on the regeon you are in the configuration I have should cost between 4K and 4.5K...
Well actually, that might be a good way to pick up girls with the vibrating seats...
