Scitec DVP-750DX does Divx, DivXPro, Xvid and more
Looking for something to replace that trusty Apex AD-1250X, Pioneer DV-588A-S or Philips DVP-642? Check out the Scitec DVP-750DX, available in October for ¥24,000 ($215). The player can handle standard DVDs, SACD, SVCD, VCD, Divx, DivXPro, Xvid and just about every audio format you can throw at it, and includes 5.1 sound, Dolby and a 108mHz/12bit DAC. Of course, it'll never be available in the U.S., so you may want to hang onto that Apex or Pioneer just a bit longer (and if you're thinking of ordering one of these for U.S. use, you should be aware that it's locked at Region 2, though we imagine there's a way around that restriction—there always is).
