ELLE GlamPhone fashion phone sports mirror
Continuing in the grand tradition of sacrificing technology in exchange for
fashion (the Ghostbusters never did, we
don't see why women should have to); the ELLE GlamPhone at least isn't as bad as some. The main features touted are a
screen that doubles as a mirror when off and a lanyard for dangling the phone from your neck. But despite these
technological marvels, the phone somehow manages to cram in an external 128 x 128 display, a camera and 3MB of
memory. This French phone is GSM 900/1800 (so no luck for US fashionistas) and should be available worldwide at the end
of the month. Hopefully we'll all be able to find alternative mirrors to fill the void until then.

I am first :D
Is it just me, I think this phone is ugly
2 megapixels but only 3mb?
surley there is a mini sd/mmc card for this phone?
So... this phone will remain powered off most of the time because people want to look at themselves?
Fjolle:
My guess is that the "mirror" works like any third-party privacy screen. Tilt the phone at all and you get your own reflection, rather than what's on the screen. The only problem with that is you can't see the screen unless you're at 0°.
maybe it electroluminescent mirror :P with a switch...hey you never know
Samsung had this "feature" in a lot of their phones for a very long time(the first one shown back in 2000). It works by sending electrical jolts through the liquid crystals so that they line up together and form a solid crystal thus reflecting any light that shines on it (your face).
This is such nonsence, Nokia is stil THE best when it comes to design. I cannot stand those boring clam shell designs that ALL look the SAME.
Nokia 7280 is the original fashion phone, one with the mirror.
