Median's M-Cody MX-300 player with sliding USB connector
This looks to be the same m-Cody player from Median that we caught wind of back in May, but it's just now being released this month. What we didn't know then is that it has a sliding USB connector and a 500mA external speaker. It'll also act as a remote for TVs and other devices and should last about 28 hours on a two hour charge. No word on price yet — at least not that we could dig up, but it shouldn't exactly come as some surprise that this probably won't ever see a US release.

Pretty-Damn-COOOL! I like this... 28h of batterie life? On a 2h charge? Remote control for hotel TVs? Color display? (or is it?) External speaker?
Why do we never get good shit?
The IR remote feature on this sounds intriguing- it's one of the first things I've seen on an audio player that's both new and a useful convergence type thing. I'm not sure I'd like to use my iPod as a phone, but I've seen a hacked up iPod running linux that also does IR remote commands (they used an IR port connected to the audio to record the "sounds" an IR remote made and then replayed them) and it actually interested me. I'm not sure I'll be buying one because I just can't see replacing my iPod, but this is a good feature to add.
Anybody know how much storage it has or if it charges off usb bus? I looked at the pictures in the article and I didn't see a power input so probably!
