RoboFish unleashed in London Aquarium!
Three autonomous robotic fish are swimming along side the real deal at the London Aquarium. Develop by a team of
Essex University chav and chavettes scientists, the 20
x 6 x 5-inch fish can swim at a rate of up to 20-inches per second for a few hours before needing a recharge.
Eventually, Essex scientists hope to doll-up the fish in Burberry and prison white
kix
smarten-up the fish to find their own charging station. The scientists boast that the fish looks so life-like that
people "get confused and think it's a real fish." Oi Britney, yafta be zaggeratan. Glittery rhinestones aside, they do
look the part in the
vid.

'Oi Britney, yafta be zaggeratan'

They look prety realistic while swimming right up to the point that they run into the glass!

It looks like Titans fish shape submarine from Stingray.

So when the battery dies, will they start to float upside down as well?

Maybe Australia can use these to help distract the man-eating crocs living there (http://www.divester.com/2005/10/03/diver-killed-by-croc-had-head-bitten-off/).

Is that Collin Farrell holding the fish?

I, for one, welcome our new mecha-fish overlords.
Google Nazi @ Dec 19th 2005 2:06AM
Not overlords.. underlords :P The overlords will either be Google or chinese warrior bots.
They need the fish to power it self from living organisms like real fish or find a way to use oxygen mollecules to power it up. Doesn't hurt to suggest does it?

eerie. The green fish in the video reminds me of Ming the Merciless...

They move lifelike enough, but you definitely have to get better "skin" for them to look like real fish. still it's somewhat of an achivement.
Yeah the chinese-japanese-whatever battlebots will be the overlords, but you can be certain that the overlords will give their fishlike bretheren a powererful position.
And can you imagine this conversation:
Fisher 1:"Check this fish out! It must weigh a ton! Is it a keeper?"
Fisher 2:"Nah, it's one o' them 'robotic' fish, throw it back in."

Chav's at uni doing robotic engineering? I don't think sooooooo....
