LG's DMB phone lets you pause live TV for calls
No, DMB, or Digital Multimedia Broadcasting, still isn't coming to America, but LG is addressing one of the problems inherent in watching live broadcast TV on your cellphone — namely, whether or not you should to stop to answer that important phone call when you're in the middle of watching the big game or whatever — with a new TiVo-like handset that always stores a cache of what you're watching so you can answer the call and then automatically pick up where you've left off. Seems pretty obvious, but apparently no other DMB-enabled phones have this feature.

Jeff, yeah, we know about Orb, we've written about it tons of times, we've even interviewed the founder:

DMB is a totally different technology and doesn't rely on streaming IP over a cellular network.

so the Koreans have Tivo on their phones and I don't even have one on my 25" TV. That's just not fair at all....

Is it me or does everyone think "dumb" when you read DMB? You got your smart phones then on the other hand...

Korea DMB use H.264 as video streaming codec. LG's phone must have the function to record the H.264 streaming in its big memory.

Max, you won't find DMB in japan, sorry.
