Luxpro's EZ Square MP3 player: a 7280 homage
We hate to call products a total knockoff,
and luckily in this case that doesn't really apply, but are we the only ones who think Luxpro's EX Square DAP looks an
awful lot like the Nokia 7280 fashionphone?
Luxpro dropped all of those cumbersome phone features in this model, opting instead to produce an MP3 player/voice
recorder/FM tuner, but they did manage to nicely replicate the casing and lines of the 7280 almost perfectly. Nothing
really makes the EZ Square standout from the crowd; it comes in 256MB, 512MB, and 1GB flavors, accepts MP3, WMA, and
WAV files, and is PlaysForSure compatible. Seems that
taking on Apple wasn't enough of a
challenge for Luxpro, and now they've decided to poke an even larger nest of wasps.
[Thanks, Mike]

As I stated before...I would never buy an Apple/Mac product because I dissaprove of their "give them less, make them pay more" policy. I am allways happy to see companies going after the Mp3 market share trying to reinvent products to give them more features than Apple/Mac products and thus giving buyers more choices.
If Luxpro made a model of this device with a color screen and a 2 or4 GB flash media to take on the nano, I' definately buy it, if not for me, for someone I love as a gift.
I bet you this thing doesn't get scratched beyond recognition within a week's use.
"give them less, make them pay more"?
I'm not sure if there is anyone in any business industry except in charity that doesn't follow the slogan above.
It's Only sad the ground breaking and ALL hearts winning "Luxpro’s EZ Square MP3 player" would not even be sold in most countries we call home. And it looks like even this perfect engineering marvel still needs some more tinkering to take on the nano?
Usually there is a reason why something sells in millions of units, even if some one (if not a billion people) is saying it stinks..
I can already see the headlines "Luxpro kills the iPod"...
Wooow... Those people at Luxpro sure are pros!
GOOD JOB, DOODZ!!!
I can see Luxpro's argument in front of the judge now... "what if someone wanted a cool MP3 player to match their new Nokia 7280?" ;-P
Dear God, this is some really pathetic plagiarism of Nokia design. Maybe people who made this are all equally pathetic as well. At least they don't have any dignity.
Hopefully the company goes bankrupt and they're forced to stop stealing other's designs.
