LG shows off 102-inch HD plasma
Matching hometown rival Samsung inch-for-inch, LG is now showing a 102-inch plasma display, which the company says offers full HD resolution at 1920 x 1080, with a contrast ratio of 5000:1. Don't expect to buy one anytime soon, though. It's being displayed at the Korea Electronics Show, and no announcements have been made about actually making this a production model.

the 102" at the top could be confused with what a thermometer would read in whatever room you put that...
That's got to be a heater!
Damn Koreans are getting smaller. They look tiny next to that 32" Screen!
I want one....If only they weren't so expensive!
Korean women in astonishment : "Wow, they've introduced the compensation model"
*lick*
Holy crap, that has got to cost at least 100k.
This sure beats having a projector based home theater system. One could even mount this in a room that gets lots of daylight and still be able to reap the benefits of such a large display. Perhaps one day TVs like this would have built in WiFi.
...
Mmm... how do you clean something like this?
Seems like a huge wall, except you can't put something in front of it...
It seems nice... but if you think... that really is TOO big...
I mean, how far do you have to sit to watch at it properly?
Heh, just imagine all the problems when this thing'll be produced for the commercial market...
It would be great for the ceiling though =)
Hopefully by the time they make Cinema size plasma screens I'll still have my eyesight. If so a future filled with High-Def Cinema is looking good to me at this point, god bless the Koreans.
Korean ladies like BIG....screen.
that's one badass TV. Just imagine your friends walking into your living room and being pwned by the size of your plasma.
$100,000?

Excuse me while I change my pants.
thats....well, awesome really.
no need for a projector at all with one of those.
be nice if it was actually 4x 45" Aquos Panels though...(like the aquos is 2x somthing anyway)
That is the biggest green pepper I ever saw.
Think OF THE SALADS MAN!!!!
is that jesus in the middle of the pepper?
Well, the 80" Samsung was $150,000, this is WAY more.
I just need to gather a few loyal friends and find a good bank.
I hope the price tag on this one drops by 99% before xmas
I wonder how sharp this thing will really be? Right now you can get a smaller LCD or Plasma with that same resolution. This one is bigger with the same resolution, which means the pixels ought to be bigger, right?
