Flood of announcements follow XP Media center update

Rollup 2, as predicted, has initiated a flurry of activity as various service and hardware providers trip over themselves to let you know how they can take advantage of the new capabilities.

A quick rundown of the announcements so far:

• Microsoft themselves, noting the update required to stream content to that Xbox 360 I hope you preordered because otherwise they may be hard to get on release day. [Thanks Joystiq]
  

• Wavexpress' TVTonic software for VOD over broadband, now supporting updates via RSS feeds.

• Akimbo is previewing their VOD over broadband (apparently including HDTV content) service at DigitalLife 2005

• ATI is showing off their Avivo platform and how well it works with HD on the updated Media Center software at DL 2005 as well.
