So it's no secret now or anything, but we got a hands on with the Juicy Couture and Mister Cartoon Sidekick IIs. Or is it Sidekicks II? Either way, it's the same old Sidekick II with a little extra flavor for the kids. We don't have a release or a price, but they'll be announced tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled if this is the one you've been waiting for. And if it's not, well, there'll more than likely be more on the way soon—personally, we're all holding out for the Emancipation Of Mimi Sidekick, but you know us.
what's the point? this is getting silly...1st T-Mo start charging u for ringtones...now they dump 2 barely skinned same old sh!t on u after a year of original release w/ no upgrades at all... hahahah. this is so dumb that it's funny
I agree that more should have been done for the Sidekick II (I own one) but according to Mobile Tracker (http://www.mobiletracker.net/archives/2005/09/14/black-sidekick) they did update the web browser to work with JavaScript for this “new” release. Seems like Danger along with T-Mobile will be releasing an OTA update for us current CSK owners from 2.0 to 2.3; but of course, we’re going to wait for T-Mo to tweak it for their network.

Why doesn't Apple buy up the company behind the Sidekick? They could seriously make it far more popular than having Snoop Dog in a commercial. Sidekick + iTunes = much better phone than the Motorola ROKR.

The new Sidekick OS is much improved and the web browser works well. I got the upgrade to my SK about a week ago now. Now Engadget works flawlessly!
the sidekick III is supposed to have iTunes.. it was supposed to be released in November with bluetooth and a camera with more pixels but rumor is they pushed it back to February to add iTunes

I'm just going to wait for the Bluetooth, better cam and iTunes in the Sidekick III ... but they're crazy to be milking the Sidekick II like this. Especially since Juicy Couture was soo 2 years ago.

ok so this is the response to the idiot who was bitching because t mobile charges for ring tones and bitching that there is no upgrade at all. do your research before you talk shit the software is upgraded, and i am sure that it will sell because it a different color and it just makes it look cooler. I sell cell phones and i cant say much except that it is going to make my checks look very good it is only a limited edition and the sidekick II is doing very well so why should they NOT milk it for what they got?? I can speak from experience that out of all of the data devices T mobile sells it by far has the best browser. so stop bitching PUSSY!!everyone charges for ringtones unless you get a free site you stupid moron!!!
I wenr ro the DigitalLife show last weekend, and I saw both new limited editions of the sidekick there. It's the same old sidekick, but with a little extra flare. They come with black leather cases and the Juicy Sidekick 2 has a case that has adorable charms on it. Very girly. The estimated price was supposed to be $399.

You cannot download free ringtones from websites on t-mobile's sidekick II. They have that feature blocked.
The update, 2.3 is not for the CSK (color sidekick), it is only for the sidekick, and 2.3 is the t-mobile release. Other carriers have different version numbers.
The limited edition sidekicks do not come with 2.3, it has to be downloaded like everyone else's, so they have to wait until it is RANDOMLY SENT TO THEM.
And i-Tunes on a sidekick? I want to see your source. Otherwise, stop spreading rumors. Other than the pics that have been posted that appear to be a sidekick 3, which has NOT been confirmed, there is no word of ANY features or even the possibility of a sidekick 3.
And the $400 LE Sidekick IIs aren't skinned, they're actually painted that color.
i'm totally feeling the mister cartoon one! i love the black color. and giving the sidekicks color just makes it sell more. i'm so buying the black one. whenever and wherever i find it. haha! hopefully soon! i love my skII!

Okay okay, I fell into the t-mobile trap...a good trap for me because I luv pink and is a juicy fan. Regardless if t-mobile is raking up some money to target females on style, I recently bought the juicy sidekick anyway & I luv it! T-mobile data plan is affordable compared to verizon's data plan that I used to have. But verizon has good reception all the time and I'm sticking with its call service. Hopefully t-mobile reception is good too. Other than that I'm a pink happy juicy bitch. :) Have a nice day!

the sidekick 3 is still under development(or so i heard) they are still thinking on the shape and design it's going to take its either going to be the slide design like the Virgin Mobile "Slide-osonic" or the same design with the screen flipping to reveal the text. rumors are that it will be released first thing january or february but im still going to get the Mr. Cartoon Edition it looks so kick ass and you can pickup chicks at the mall easier (only because it catches your attention & chicks think it's sleek and sexy)

Ok, I work for a T-Mobile store and I've got to tell you guys- the Sidekick III is strictly rumor. What you all see on the web being touted as a Sidekick III is actually a phone being released in Germany in the summer. It is bluetooth, wifi, swivel screen to reveal the keyboard, but it is NOT NOT NOT a Sidekick. Danger has never commented on a Sidekick III and no pictures of a real Sidekick III even exist. So pony up and buy the limited edition ones...I already have ;) Hehe
