HDTV Games of the week

Shadow of the Colossus

Two games dropping this week that should look good on your HDTV are Stubbs the Zombie and Shadow of the Colossus. Both of these are games I've been excited about since seeing previews at E3, albeit for very different reasons, but both will output in at least 480p.

More screens and breakdowns after the jump.

Stubbs the Zombie

Stubbs the Zombie for Xbox has an incredible pedigree, it's made using the Halo engine, by many of the guys from Bungie who originally made Halo, then split off to form their own studio. Co-op play, using your own organs as explosives, possessing people with your disembodied hand and oh yeah, eating brains are all part of the package. Check out the trailer to better understand where our friend Stubbs is coming from.

Shadow of the Colossus

Shadow of the Colossus for PS2 also comes from an acclaimed developer, the same team that made Ico. You get on your horse and ride out to do battle with these skyscraper-sized enemies in order to bring a loved one back to life. All you need to do is look at the game trailers of the guy climbing up one of these beasts and hanging on for dear life while he attempts to locate its weak spot and kill it. Check out the game intro at GameTrailers.

Other notable games dropping this week are The Warriors, Crash Tag Team Racing, and Tony Hawk's American Wasteland.
