Are these leaked images of the Sidekick III?
Or of a prototype—old or new—of Danger's design? Or merely a hoax? Whatever it is, assuming they're not complete fakes,
it does indeed wear a T-Mobile badge, which usually accounts for something in terms of the production cycle
(unless they were just trying it on for size, we suppose). Any way you want to peg this one, we're definitely not going
to go on record as stating this is or is not Danger's rumored Sidekick III (though we're honestly kind of hoping it's
not).

i think this might be the sk3, but it wont be out anytime soon. the logo switched because the screen swiveled, if the screen swivels (like the sk2 does) then it has to be a danger product because danger has the patent on the swiveling screen. act like you know people.
Their will be a limited editon sidekick 3 coming out after the Thanksgiving weekend. So look out for it.
The buttons are there. If you look closely at the bottom of the open sk photo, youll see the menu button ( The 7 small circles and 1 big ) Also the send/end call buttons could be the shinny thing surrounding the grey thing! This may just be the sidekick 3. I hope it comes in diffrent colores though. I like the fact about having the chrome around the buttons it looks cool. I hope hiptop has been reading all the posts people have put on ( MP3 player, 1.5 MP camera with zoom, Java (not javascript) and more customizable ( faceplates )and more memory for games, ringtones, and photos , i cant believe a device that every celeb has has barely any important features.
I wouldn't doubt if this was the SKIII. It looks totally revamped, except for the qwerty keyboard which is fine because it is already perfect. It looks to be a little bit more longer in width. Hopefully a little skinnier, but you can't tell in the picures.
I've seen and heard about all the mis-haps about the SKII, keypad pealing, scroll wheel breaking, the screen's spring breaking. Seems like all of this has been fixed. Plastic keys, that white nudge button, and what I've read, an improved spring.
If you look closely in the second picture the camera that the guy is taking the picture with is in fact a SKII. The flash glares off and you can see the silver "rectangle" on the back of the device that has the camera lens, mirror, and flash. The guy who took the picture new what is was. Comparing them both side by side. What a lucky dog!!
Anyways, be prepared to see either this device or something similar to it sometime next year!
Hey I don't care what yall say I got ds hook ups w/ the hiptop man and he says that the hiptop aint coming out untill october next year nor april not december its gunna be october...illupdate when I can get details of what it looks like
I was told the sk3 will be out the end of october 06 and it hasn't been decided if it will be blutoothed but I love my sidekick 2 glorified im and all ha ha I believe the fact that they are releasing the limited editions to stall and buy time to work the kinks out of the sk3 but I don't think the limited editions will even get the upgrades so what the point of them other than being cute
I've been studying and doing a lot of research of the sidekick ever since part1 has shown up. Not to critisize this accurate model which looks like the new SK3. T-mobile hasn't advertised anything new on another SK, so everyone should just chill-out and wait for a commercial, like when the superbowl hits, that would be the best time. I've heard so many roomers that the "SPH-M7000" Samsung smartphone was the new SK3, and the Pocket pc tablet/mini laptop thingy was said to the SK3. If T-mobile has a SK3 trust... It's not out on the market people, it just may be a possible blueprint so I've heard, but you can't go by what you hear now can you? So I would say I'm not getting all hype about a phone that hasn't been advertised and honestly doesn't exist YET. Sidekick 2 is out and T-mobile is still enhancing it.
I haven't actually seen a SK3 myself but my friend who has a friend that works for T-mobile saw the phone because the phone is being passed out to employees for promotional reasons for now. They are not sure of the release date but it might be winter of 2007. but again seeing how the promotion goes. But my friend did say something about the screen being flipped differently from his SK2 to prevent the screen from being scratched.
how can i get new ringtones for my sidekick 2?
My friend has a friend who works at the T-Mobile booth in the local mall and she said "I know nothing because I am a low level employee that gets paid minimum wage, and I have no access to important information that would potentially cost T-Mobile millions in losses."
I believe her because she said it with a straight face too!

My friend who works at T-mobile, who's baby daddy said that theres a special list that you have to get on to get an SK3. But, we can't get one because you gotta be paris hilton to get one. But my other friend that is a receptionist at T-Mobile said that the list will be out in april 06! The janitor at T-Mobile said it was Jun of 06, so I don't know who to believe.

I am the janitor at T-Mobile and I say I know everything about the SK3! I go around malls and tell all the little children my projections of when the SK3 might come out. They believe me cause I where my T-Mobile badge while talking to them.
I really hope that isn't the SKIII. That's really ugly. Looks like some sort of retro 80s technology overhaul to be honest The silver trim around the dpad is cheesy and the scroll wheel "replacement" looks clumsy. Doubt it's real, but it seems like a step back.
ok, for the people that say "how come the tmobile logo switched around???"... umm, if u see a skII u will c that when u swivel the screen, the logo switches to the other side... that is becaise the screen flips around 180 degrees.....
geez people....the screen rotates to reveal the the keyboard !! thats y the logo gets switched around....yall dumb... a tmobile employee sent me those pictures and he says that they are real. so.....

I think that if it is a sidekick that they should show u a better pic. Even if it is a fake or a prototype. I have a sidekick 2 and I am very happy with it. Not everyone has one only the elit! And if the so call sidekick 3 can have bluetooth and store more stuff then I would buy it.

4 real t-mobile 2 step it up, dont get me wrong the sidekick 2 is a great phone but with all the new razr's coming out wit awsome features, Danger and t-mobile need to get 2gether and have something coming out very soon (sidekick 3)!!!.Also adding $150 to the sidekick and then slaping sum paint on it, is not cutin it. sum REAL truth about this SK3 need 2 b out quick1
its true what the people said about everyone having the sidekick 2 i use to be one of the only people in sku with it n now everywhere people think they r soo kool cuz dey got 1 2... it would be good if thats a sk3 but i think everyone needs to just relax and mayb talking to a tmobile person would save wayyy more time then getting urselves all worked up...alojahz!
Hey guy's my brother works at Tmobile at Division in Portland Oregon. He told me that Sidekick III or so called is not coming out in 2005. The latest time would porbably be 2006. So if you waiting on buying the third one, dont waste your time.
yeah, i dont care what everyone thinks, i have part 2 and i think part 3 would be the bomb, just hope it has blue tooth and a videorecorder
I went to t-mobile today and asked about the mr. Cartoon because I wanted one but she said yo wait 2 WEEKS and the sidekick 3 will be out and will have bluetooth, video recorder and better camera. I am not sure if that is what it will look like but in2 weeks we all will now. However, it will only be out in certain places. She said they won't get it in the mall but on rt. 10 and places that are dealers (separate) will have them.

Well honestly I don't think that is the sk3, like the others have said its to big, these days as technology is innovated things tend to get smaller and more compact, I believe its maybe a custom made 1 for some super rich person somwhere, so I'm not getting my hopes up until I see some proof as far as advertisment

It is obviously not a fake and at the worst it is a prototype for the new sidekick. It was supposed to be ready by christmas but there were far too many bugs to put it in the market. And thats from the mouths of t-mobile reps.

well i've talked to a few tmobile reps i can't say factly that that is the sk3 but i can say that there will be one coming out and it'll have bluetooth and they're also supposed to be releasing a sk2 mini its gonna be the same as the sk2 only smaller and it may have a few additional features
weLL i just want a new skIII coz some fooL jacked my SKII last weeK and im EXPECTING better features on the SKIII , you KNOW ?! like other people said up there SKII is dope and aLL but can't do much to it . weLL EMAIL me PLEASE about WHEN the REAL SKIII is coming out . it looks like they CHANGED the buttons on the side of the SKIII . its not on the corners no more but closer in . i dunknow . looks kinda funny but if it has better feature like i said , id take one .

WE know for a fact that this is at least a prototype for the new sk becasue if you save these pictures and then blow them up you can clearllly see the 4 buttons as well as look at the keys you can tell from these shotty low resolution pictures that the keyboard is identical to a sidekicks so therefor it must be a sidekick or danger would get sued also the buttons are deff. still rubber and also of the 4 buttons in each corner you can clearlly see the top right one has a x in it and the bottom left one has a cirle just like my and your sidekicks so this must be the new sk
the tmobile person told me that it was droppin on the 20th and it is gonna be out befor cristmas

First...why do some people try to act black while TYPING...scroll to #46...Second...I never even owned a Sidekick and I knew the screen swivelled...Third...for people that have half a brain on this thread, I was thinking about buying a SK2 but I was just going to wait to find out a bit more information. Whoever said about waiting for the superbowl is a smart person because if they were going to release a SK3 that would be the best chance of seeing a commercial...for now I am going to wait until after the superbowl, and then just buy an SK2 and whenever the SK3 comes out (if it even does) just sell my SK2 on eBay and then buy an SK3...which is what a high school graduate would do...not argue and call people liars and say "my friend knows a friend who screwed the T-Mobile CEO" because if you knew so much about the SK3, you would probably have been smart enough to get a PICTURE of it instead of just blabbing your lips. I'm done :)
Hey, just so everyone knows... I did some research and the pic is NOT an SK3. What it is, is a Microsoft PDA Phone that is to be released in Germany soon. It will only be offered in Europe because it uses European technology... or something like that. I do not know the whole story on it, but I do know it is sold through T-Mobile and will not be released in the states... By the way... I currently own an SK2, which is what I am typing on now. I love this thing and I hope the rumors of an SK3 are true.
