Dell's new W3706MC 37-inch LCD HDTV
Dell just keeps the good times rolling with their
television line. The latest member is the
W3706MC 37-inch LCD with a 1366 x 768 resolution and some nice HD inputs. They're selling it for $2300 at their online
store, along with the 50-inch plasma we spied just
recently. Only an 800:1 contrast ratio, and our pals at HD Beat haven't been too impressed with Dell displays in the
past, but we'll wait to spot these ourselves before we pass judgment.

Whats cool about this tv is that the spec's list it as having 2 HDMI inputs.
That would allow you to connect a Home Theater system(High Def. upconverter DVD player) and satelite tv at the same time without having to switch back and forth.
Can someone confirm this?
I see the same thing as you - 2 HDMIs.
But, no DVI for computer input, just analog VGA - meh.
From the site - "PC Digital Input via DVI-to-HDMI adapter *sold separately"
I really don't know how this adapter works seeing that pretty much all PC DVI is not HDCP, so a simple DVI to HDMI cable wouldn't work.
Anyone?
In very simple terms, HDMI is DVI with audio. This is why they have DVI to HDMI converters, I have one. I have plugged my computer into my plasma using this without any problems, cept getting resolution right took a little.
Looks like a great entry into the HDTV arena. Would anyone actually use this size and res for a PC only?
Why do companies even release these lo res devices with true 1080p lcd available for under $2k?
name one 1080p product for under $2000??? i hate idiots that blabber stuff out w/o naming alternatives...
Well, the westinghouse LVM-37w1 reports to be 1080p and retail outlets like best buy advertise $1499-$1599. the specs seem comparable to the dell product. can u give some insight or comparision of the two products ...
smokeonit- The blabber includes the Westinghouse and the Spectre 1080p sets, both under $2000. Maybe you should put some idiot salt on that blabber crow?
