USB Mamory from SolidAlliance
SolidAlliance's oddball product line continues to grow. The "USB Mamory," which is actually a play on words for an "Omamori," a Japanese good luck charm. Omamori are typically small cloth bags with traditional patterns and something inside of them; nobody is supposed to know what's inside, because actually opening them is considered bad luck. On top of that, losing your Omamori is supposed to cause a guilty conscience. SolidAlliance has chosen to combine these two elements with USB memory, saying that the USB Mamory will enjoy an extra layer of data security because "Japanese people won't go opening an Omamori to find out what's inside." And you'll also be more careful about losing the thing, since you wouldn't want to feel guilty now, would you? Available in 512MB and 1GB versions, the USB Mamory is set to start shipping in Japan from October 28th. You'll also be able to order just the bag itself for around ¥2,980 ($26 USD).

So..... can you plug it into a mammary gland?
Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all night.
wait... if opening them is bad luck, then isn't just opening the associated packaging (the bag) to use the thing going to bring bad luck :) ?
And I thought this was something to do with the MP3 player breast implants The Register was going on about a few days back...

Small world. I carry a real omamori from a shinto temple, but 99.9% of the folks here don't know what it is. What a strange blend of culture... the article is 100% correct. Bad luck to open the bag, nobody knows what's inside... but it is said to be a shinto prayer.
I've had my legacy, non-USB enabled omamori now for over a year, have yet to open it. :) Now, if they'd put the number "4" on the bag somewhere, that'd scare 'em off good.
Any word on a USB mammary? Made exclusivly for girls. :)
5: Or basement dwelling young introverted gaming nerd boys...
I had to open an omamori of mine once (due overly strict search policies to get into a club--the bouncer insisted I take the thing apart--it made me a bit upset at the time). The contents were a small block of wood with a prayer written/carved into it, surrounded by a piece of paper.
Just FYI.
