MicroLink dLAN Audio streams tunes to wall sockets
UK and other European users of devolo's MicroLink dLAN Homeplug network-over-power-circuit system can now stream PC audio to any room in the house with an electrical outlet. Like the Ethernet adapter that's required for its use, the MicroLink dLAN Audio is a little plastic brick that plugs into the wall, but this version has analog and digital audio ins and outs. The Audio can stream content at 192kbps from any audio source to any stereo or set of powered speakers, is automatically encrypted with DESpro, and is available now for under a hundred pounds.
