MPIO ONE now available in the US … not that anyone was waiting for it
First, MPIO locked up the metrosexual market, now they're gunning for superhumans… who else could watch video on such a minuscule 96 x 64 pixel OLED screen? The MPIO ONE supports MP3, PlaysForSure WMA, WMV, MPEG, AVI, and DivX playback, FM radio/recorder, and doubles-up as a 1.2-ounce mass-storage compliant device for file storage. Available now in the US for $170 (1GB version) or $130 (for 512MB).

Those minuscle-LCD video players are becoming widly popular in Asia. Maybe MPIO is trying to see if it becomes popular in the US also.
aside from the rediculously small display it looks like a cool item, but what does (PlaysForSure WMA) mean? Only thing that would really make this a must have item is if it had some kind of small TV out plug on it.
If they could incude an A/V line out the ideal market would be the youthfull Anime fans who like to share the latest AMV, (Anime Music Video), but do not want to burn a DVD.
Er MaxSMoke, why ya gotta hate? And why would you pay a premium for high-end audio processing in a *portable* player which ships with ear-buds, bud? Ambient city noise, wind, etc would certainly negate any noticeable difference.
Is the USB connector proprietary? To use the MPIO as a mass-storage device then you would have to carry around another cable :( The Creative Muvo TX series has the right idea ... make a USB stick with a LCD and MP3 player ... anyone know of any OLED players with these simple "creative" elements?
I'm not sure what you mean by high-end audio processing, but the output SNR is identical to the ipod nano (90dB), which isn't that great to begin with.
