Samsung reneges online music store
Somebody had to get up in front of the Korean media with his tail between his legs:
Choi Gee-sung, the very same president of Samsung's digital media business who announced last week to Korean press that
Samsung was going to be opening an online music store,
had to, um, directly publicly contradict himself. Like, how does, "We are not at all interested in a music service
ourselves," sound? Thus harmony is restored to David Steel's
word on the topic, and we no longer wonder exactly how they were gonna pull that particular rabbit out of their
hat.

HA
good job guys.
wow, that must be humbling to say the least.
The Korea media blew up the news story way out of proportion in the first place. It was a simple misunderstanding. The media loves to hear giant companies go at each other like this.
Hey, at least Samsung is honest with us and itself to not be overridden by pride and continue to stand behind needlessly redundant and proprietary standards like ... *cough* ... Sony.
I love my Sony TV but ... I'm not marrying the company. Come on.
Memory stick? I know just where you should stick it.
