The Iqua Snake handsfree system
Bluetooth focused Iqua now brings us the Snake Bluetooth 1.2 handsfree system. Designed to attach to the headrest of your ride, it features brushed aluminum and leather stylin' and features a built-in mic and speaker, a status LED, up to 10 hours of talk time or 300 hours of standby, and 6 hours recharge with included car (and hopefully wall) charger. Man, they are just one design trick away from making this thing double as a steering wheel lock donchathink? Available in time for Xmas if you're good.

or you could use a bluetooth headseat that you can carry anywhere... or A CARKIT!
Jeeze, I wonder why they haven't made one that wraps around your neck

Wow, another accessory that just might kill you in an accident.

Man, don't you guys watch Mythbusters? Unless that thing weighs a few pounds (like if it's lead pipe or something), there's no way it has the mass to kill you, or even seriousely hurt you.
Still, while the design is sexy as hell, it'd just be one more thing I'd forget to take out of my car every night, and someone would no doubt break my window and steal it, even if they didn't know what the hell it was.
Still, forget the headset thing, make speakers on each side, a plug for a flash drive, and something like this would make a hella-sweet portable car audio system for people who can't spend a grand pimping their ride.

What an absolutely stupid design.
Something that pierces your throat or pokes into your eyes in a side-on collision? Crashing into a wall and the seat folds forward and stabs you in your shoulder/neck?
You don't need something weighing a few pounds to kill you. You're watching too much TV. :-)

sorry saffy, but that thing is downrifght dangerous, even if its made of thin plastic, as it is braced against the seat. and if you aplied some thought to it rather that quoting your god box, you might see that with that short mic stub, the slenderness to length ratio is quite good (meaning it wont deform under pressure) so its got a good chance of piercing you or breaking a bone or two.
Speaking from experiance, (some drunk fool crashed into me), you dont need much mass to do serious damage to you at speeds like that, as my selphone flew off the dash and hit me in neck, busing me quite badly
right, enough of that.
conclution : Health Hazzard

Don't know why but my first thought about it is how you continue conversation while you, say, arrive at work in the car. You get out of the car... holding this thing like microphone!? hilarious.

All they need to do is make the last turn in the neck totally flexible and perhaps cover it in a soft windscreen and it would prolly be pretty safe.
I dunno why they decided to make it rigid with a sharp tip. Maybe they tried to save money by repurposing a high-tech snorkel.

That device killed me just last week.
I got better...
