TiVo offers feature length with their on-demand download service
You can now catch your favorite star of that veritable action classic, Mortal Kombat, in a new
feature length documentary called Red Trousers with TiVo's on-demand
download service, a nice sign that
they're going to keep on keeping on even after the death of their
plans with Netflix for the potential
distribution of Hollywood movies. Unfortunately the download requires some mojo involving the TiVo website, your email
address, and waiting around until November 23rd for the movie to come through, but at least it's a step in the right
direction.

The deal with Netflix is not dead, its on hold till they work out the deals with the distributors.
You can also now download video reviews to poducts from cnet using TiVo. Your all stupid if you think TiVo is dead, its stronger then ever.
John if you are going to call someone stupid please make sure you know how to use the word "your" correctly in a sentence.
LOL!
I wouldnt quite say that tivo is dead but I wouldnt really say they are stronger than ever. If this is their strongest yet they were never good. TiVo could go either way easily but I say they are headed down the hill not saying they are at the bottom but far from the top.
John and Chris, you're right we shouldn't say the deal is dead. We'll leave that to Netflix's CEO who said it for us in last month's quarterly conference call:

I guess this is where you two apologize for your ignorancy. But no one ever apologizes for ignorant or even stupid comments on this blog - they defend it to the very end, no matter how ridiculous it may be, because admitting your wrong somehow means your inferior or stupid or something like that. It's typical that posters pounce on Engadget when they screw up their information, but you never see it the other way around, or at least not on most occasions.
Hmm...how did Chris statement get lumped with John's?
Anyways...we'll all wait to see how Tivo recovers from it's future loss of DirecTivo subscriptions. Hopefully the previously announced comcast partnership will bring in some bucks.
Yes, TiVo did take a step in the right direction this time. Everyone loves On Demand, so everyone will love this new service! Well, at least most people. TiVo is NOT dead!
I wish people would stop using that outdated, limey word "Trousers". It's pants damn it!
Predicting TiVo's immminent demise is a popular sport. The fact that TiVo keeps failing to die makes it more challenging. ;)
With their arrangement with Comcast, I'd hardly say TiVo was doomed. I do know that I really enjoy using Galleon, and the beta test of the HME games was pretty good. TiVo is out to stay ahead of the pack...and after having used Comcast's Motorola DVR....well, let's just say I haven't gotten rid of my TiVos.
How about some compelling content, TiVo? Like, I dunno....how about distributing the first season of New Doctor Who here in America? That would be a great way to generate buzz. Be the first to debut the hot series here through an alternative distribution platform. And then TiVo can be known for reintroducing the updated cult classic to American viewers.
Tivo's not dead - their new deal with Yahoo may just bring about something almost as interesting as the Netflix deal. I just hope that the Netflix deal didn't crash because of the NDA leak that appeared on this very site when the beta photos were posted.
Ignoracny isn't a word
And you used "your" when you should've used "you're" twice. Just sayin'
