Bang on on the deployment location selection, Scott. In New Orleans (which is not mentioned, but is still the largest wireless IP surveillance camera implementation in the country (and growing)) we worked closeley with the Police to determine the areas where the cameras would do the most good. I can tell you personally that the placements were never politically controlled, even though tourist dollars made up a large portion of our economy pre-K. Now we are using the wireless network initially begun for the cameras for internet and other communications in the comms-deprived post-K world. The wifi mesh works better than anything else out there including private sector cell and public sector radio...
