FYI - It's a doublewide "Mobile Manufactured Home"; you can get them wholesale on eBay for $25-28K. The one in the picture looks less than mint - maybe worth $12K.
Man! I get...8 channels, if the weather is good, and that's more than I need!
And no, I'm not some old dude who grew up with 2...I'm 16, and yes, we have cable, but not in my room...I use rabbit ears and I'm happy with 'em!
I REALY want to get some of the free to air channels, but with only one sat.
My parents used to have a feed satilite, lots of channels and the best part, NO COMMERCAILS!!!!
This is great. I've got a photo of a much cleaner looking antenna tree on my Flickr page; http://www.flickr.com/photos/gadge/44572478/ and have a story on this very topic in Make 05 coming out in the spring... You can tune in some cool stuff like Nasa, Digital Radio, etc if you aim towards the right places...
I doubt that's a trailer, Mr. Yuk, look at the roof trusses.
Also, that house isn't very run-down, it's just small and not particularly new.
That is a ridiculous number of dishes. I thought my dad was bad when he had three dishes (big Starband internet and Dish Network together, and two for DirecTV) and a big old OTA antenna.
I like it. It gives this guy something to tinker with. v.cool.
"less than mint", please. How many houses aren't mint yet still sell for a brazillion dollars more than it cost to build. BTW, since when is a property's value defined by the house only? ..sorry, bad OT rant.
I used to build homes in mexico for charity and people would put fake dishes on their house to make the neighbors think that they could afford sat. I couldn't believe it... hundres of "houses" made out of recycled garage doors, old plywood and blue tarp and nearly three quarters of them had a dish, real or not.
Wow I'm amazed. I had no idea there were that many channels floating around unless you include all the foreign ones.
I'm a recent convert to satellite out of necessity (no cable out in the country) and my Dish system is being installed tomorrow. Combined with the an old Primestar dish, a Directv dish from the previous owner and a new WildBlue dish, my house is gonna start looking like that soon, LOL. I guess I should take the old dishes down.
I only get 6 channels with our roof mounted antenna. I don't have cable or satellite, and the stupid phone company won't let me get DSL. And our T.V. is over 20 years old, it's one of the kind they used to use in T.V. studios with the second layer of glass on it. You wouldn't believe how much glare it gets. It sucks.
Does anyone know how to get these free satellite stations?

They could be running an illegal off track betting location... With all those dishes you could get every track in the world.

I get 2000 with a single dish ;)

Well it being WV, it's technically called a phased array Critter Get'r, but nonetheless, the laughing will stop
