The Game Boy-DS
It's nice to look and see how far we've come, but c'mon, sometimes we get a little nostalgic for the good old days
too.

That is awesome! If I had one of those I would do that to it. Probably stop the theft of them too.

Now someone needs to make the PSP look like a GameGear!
that's great.
Now if they can somehow shrink it down to the size of a game boy color, we've got something really good!

i want a ds now :P
Oh! C' mon, it's just a DS with a Vinyl sticker on it.
I've had a DS for about a year now and I've already applied about 5 different vinyls on it.
SO! No Big!
Now someone needs to make a PSP look like an SNES...because that's all its good for.
I'd be more impressed if they managed to squeeze a cartridge slot and a functioning Game Boy Color processor and screen on the lid so I could actually play my old gameboy games on the DS :(
I still have my game boy from the mid 90's :)
I've still got my original GameBoy from '89 or whenever it was they first came out.. it even works! ..sometimes.
That's pretty cool but didn't the original GB and the GB Pocket boot with "Nintendo" inside a rounded rectangle? Oh! *snap snap snap*
I want a NDS more every day!!!!!!!!!!!
Zach.. actually, the Nintendo logo it booted with was *not* inside the oval shape. and in some games it *also* booted with the Game Boy logo.
*oh snap*
/pwned.
Ahhhh The Game Boy, good times.
To mr nuclear the ds is great and so is nintendo. They do something different all sony do is the same old thing over and over again. Pretty damn boring there
Thats all good Fergie : ) and your opinion is very much valid, I am a DS fan, I love Sony but am not at all feeling the PSP. For me nintendo are ALL about gaming and thats what I expect from a gaming machine ...
,... GAMES, PLAIN AND SIMPLE : )
Just so EVERYONE knows that comment ( POST 14 )was only for that IIIIDIOT FOOL ( post 6 )

Are you ignorant?...
Sony had the balls to stand up to Nintendo in a market they have dominated since well...since the very first Game Boy was introduced. Not only that, but they are standing their ground. The REASON Nintendo bothered to come out with the DS is because Sony scared them a bit. How can you say the PSP is same old same old...?
I like it, I'd pay a few quid for that sticker.
at the moment I just have some yukky tartan sticker I found in my room.
If you had some functioning buttons or maybe a funtioning screen, I would be impressed, but this is nothing.
Dead link on the image...
I agree completely with Mr. Nuclear.
I'm all about the gaming aspect.. and Nintendo is just good wholesome FUN!!! But to each their own... some people like the RPG's that take forever to complete.. some people want the good old Atari Pac-man Namco games.
just so people know my post was taken away.
( not you Matt, : ) it was for some idiot boy who goes by the name of : dDS IS SHITT SHITT SHTTTTTT, his message was taken off).
PEACE OUT good folks : )
Is it real or just a skin??
You're right on Matt... I know a guy who spends 99% of his PSP time playing SNES emulated games... DS is the shiznit.
never mind I'm a dummy :P
From #16, David: "The REASON Nintendo bothered to come out with the DS is because Sony scared them a bit. How can you say the PSP is same old same old...?"
I disagree, if Nintendo had wanted to compete with the PSP head-on they would've rushed an all new souped up GameBoy to the market. Instead, they brought a handheld with two screens, one of them being a touchscreen that could interact with a stylus. The DS is/was widely regarded as a wild proposition and I just don't see Nintendo taking such liberal risks in the handheld market.
Now there is no question that the PSP forced Nintendo to rush the DS to market. If I'm not mistaken, Nintendo was looking at creating the next Gameboy but one of the hardware designers (forget his name) started thinking about new features and it was then decided that it would probably be going too far with a Gameboy and so they called it the DS and it represented a so called "third pillar".
Now what's weird here is how quickly Nintendo decided to bring about the system. They announced out of the blue in January of 2004, introduced it (along with some games and tech demos) at E3 that year, and finally released it in November of 2004. I don't know if Nintendo has announced, shown it, and released an all new gaming system that quickly (certainly not within one year). It certainly looks very odd compared to how they have handled their consoles.
Hmm brings back some memories of the old black and white gameboy screen.Compared to the PSP, the gameboy is just a little TOO old school for me.
